On May 1, in the homeland of the writer Viktor Astafiev – in the village of Ovsyanka – the annual family holiday “Private Astafiev’s Birthday or Return to Basics” will take place. The Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory spoke about this.
Festival participants will be immersed in the world of childhood and the small homeland of the great countryman. The holiday will take place on the streets of the village, the Yenisei embankment and the territory of the Memorial complex. The program includes exhibitions, excursions, games, performances, quizzes and a big concert.
“Viktor Petrovich made an invaluable contribution to Russian literature of the 20th century and the history of our Motherland. Traditionally, the holiday reveals the fate of an ordinary person who had a difficult but in its own way happy childhood, a difficult youth during the war and post-war years, as well as a rich literary life. On this day we would like to tell guests about how Viktor Petrovich treated his Motherland»says the organizer of the festival, deputy director of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Museum of Local Lore Oksana Shvetsova.
The grand opening will take place at 12:30 near the Victor Astafiev National Center. From 11:00 an exhibition-competition of contemporary works by art school students will begin; exhibition and sale of photographs, paintings and objects, applied art; an exposition of retro transport, including the writer’s personal car, as well as an art object in the form of a “broken” house.
Near the memorial dedicated to the memory of residents who participated in the Great Patriotic War, there will be a guard of honor of the Yunarmiya movement of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. There will be a children's playground, photo zone, food court and field kitchen.
The celebration will continue with a theatrical sketch from the amateur folk group “Sibiryachok”, performances by the winners of the city festival “Test of the Pen”, an immersive performance by the museum and theater studio “Sibiryachok” and the children's folk song ensemble “Tuesok”. At 14:30 there will be a big concert of creative groups from Krasnoyarsk.
