Thousands of households were left without electricity in two counties in the east of the country due to strong winds

Thousands of households in Neamţ and Harghita counties are not supplied with electricity, Sunday afternoon, due to wind damage to the power grid. The most affected is Neamţ county, where the strong wind affected five medium voltage lines, informs News.ro.
More than 7,000 consumers from several localities of Neamţ County were left without electricity, due to the damages caused by the strong wind on the power supply network. Five medium voltage lines are affected.
According to the information provided by the power company to the authorities in Neamţ County, the affected are the villages of Pipirig with the villages of Stânca, Boboiesti, Pluton, Dolheşti, Brusturi – the village of Grosi and the village of Târzia, Drăgăneşti, villages from the commune of Roznov, Izvoare – the area of Dumbrava Roşie, Cândêşti, Frunzeni – the village of Costişa.
In total, at the time of this news, 7035 consumers are not supplied with electricity. The intervention teams are on the ground and working to remedy the situation.
And in Harghita county, the gusts of wind caused damage to the voltage lines of the electricity supply network. According to the officials of the Harghita Emergency Situations Inspectorate, the localities of Iacobeni, Imper, Plăiesii de Jos and Plăiesii de Sus are affected, where 1110 consumers do not have electricity, after the strong wind caused damage to 13 transformer stations.
