Donald Trump after the shooting. “This man had all kinds of weapons.”

Donald Trump spoke after the shooting. — It was quite unexpected. The Secret Service and law enforcement acted fantastically. The room was very united, it was something truly beautiful. This man had various types of weapons and rushed into a security checkpoint, Donald Trump said during a press conference.

Trump announced at a press conference at the White House that the Secret Service agent who was shot that evening was in good condition. He reported that the attacker was from California and believed he acted alone. He called him a “madman.”

In response to a question about whether he thought he was the attacker's target, the president replied: “I think so.” He added that there were no safety warnings before the gala.

Trump also said Saturday's event would not stop him from winning the war with Iran, although he does not think the issues are related.
