Prime Minister Bolojan announces aid for the families affected by the devastating fire in Soveja
Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan conveyed, on Sunday evening, that he is with all those affected by the fire in the Soveja commune and that the Government will allocate aid to the families affected by the misfortune. He says that the CNSU will approve, on Monday, the amounts for first emergency support, which will be granted by Thursday, News.ro informs.
“I am with all those affected by the fire in Soveja commune, Suceava county. I was in touch with the authorities during the intervention. This evening, I made sure that for all the people evacuated from the households caught in the fire there are accommodation solutions and essential goods. I thank the local and county authorities for the support”, writes Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan on Facebook.
He announces that “the Government will allocate aid to families hit by misfortune”.
“Tomorrow the CNSU will approve the amounts for first emergency support that will be granted until Thursday. Next week, the damages and the situation of each household will be assessed to determine the amounts that will be offered to those who have been left without homes”, the head of the Executive also states.
The Prime Minister thanked all those who were involved in the intervention: the firefighters from Vrancea, Bacău, Buzău, Galati, Braşov and Covasna, the SMURD crews, the gendarmes, the police and the citizens who mobilized all day, in difficult conditions.
Dozens of firefighters from several counties intervened on Sunday at a fire that broke out in the village of Rucăreni, in Vrancea county. Accelerated by the wind, the flames engulfed 32 households, built mainly of wood, and the authorities issued an RO-Alert message due to the dense smoke.
The flames were also exacerbated by the wind, in the context in which Vrancea county was under orange and yellow code weather alerts for strong wind.
