The driver who hit the Rivne deer Boris, popular on TikTok, was deprived of his license for a year. This is stated in the decision of the Zarechnensky District Court, to which Suspilne drew attention on April 24.
The incident occurred on March 23 in the village of Zarechnoye. According to the case file, a 28-year-old local resident hit a deer on Central Street and then drove away from the scene. The driver explained that the animal suddenly ran out onto the road, it was not possible to avoid a collision, and the blow itself, according to her, was not strong. She also noted that she was scared and therefore left the scene.
The court found that the woman was sober while driving. At the same time, she was held accountable for not having a valid insurance policy – for this she must pay a fine of 425 UAH.
The main punishment was the deprivation of a driver's license for one year. In addition, the driver must pay a court fee in the amount of 665.6 UAH.
According to investigators, as a result of the accident, the animal, known as Boris the deer, suffered a leg injury and a head wound.
