The country where Artificial Intelligence will replace civil servants in the coming years. The new government model will completely change public services

The Prime Minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, has announced a major transformation of the way public administration works in the United Arab Emirates, based on the extensive use of artificial intelligence. The official claims the new government model will fundamentally change the way public services are delivered.

According to his statements, the launch of this model is taking place “under the directives of the President of the United Arab Emirates”, and the goal is that, within two years, 50% of government sectors, services and operations will operate on the basis of artificial intelligence of the type “Agent AI”, that is, autonomous systems capable of making decisions and executing tasks.
“In accordance with the directives of the President of the UAE, we are launching a new model of governance. Within two years, 50% of government sectors, services and operations will be powered by Agentic AI technology, making the UAE the first government in the world to operate at this scale through autonomous systems,” the official wrote at the beginning of the post.
“Artificial intelligence is no longer just a tool. It analyzes, decides, executes and improves in real time. It will become an executive partner that will improve services, accelerate decision-making and increase efficiency,” said Prime Minister Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
He emphasized that the transformation has a clear implementation deadline of two years. The performance of the institutions will be evaluated according to the speed of adoption of new technologies, the quality of implementation and the ability to use AI to reorganize government activity.
In parallel, the authorities will invest in the training of public sector employees.
“Every federal employee will be trained to master artificial intelligence, building one of the strongest capabilities globally in AI-based government,” the prime minister also specified.
Project implementation will be coordinated by Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, while execution will be ensured by a dedicated task force led by Mohammad Al Gergawi.
Finally, the prime minister pointed out that, despite the technological acceleration, the basic principle remains unchanged: “People come first. Our goal is faster, more responsive and more efficient government.”
States using AI in developing military systems
Major powers are accelerating the development of military systems with artificial intelligence. According to an analysis published by The New York Times, more and more states are investing in autonomous technologies, from drones that can select single targets to systems that coordinate attacks in real time at speeds impossible for humans to manage.
At the heart of the competition are the US and China, but the list of countries involved is expanding rapidly. Russia and Ukraine are constantly testing their capabilities on the front, while states such as India, Israel or Iran are also investing in military artificial intelligence. In Europe, France, Germany, Britain and Poland are accelerating their armaments programs amid uncertainty over security commitments.
