Prince Harry arrived in Kiev on Thursday on an unannounced two-day visit to show his support for Ukraine. His visit comes at a time when the world's attention has turned to the war in the Middle East.

“I'm glad to return to Ukraine,” said Prince Harry upon his arrival at a train station in Kiev, Thursday morning, reports Reuters.

The Duke of Sussex is due to attend a security conference to be held in Kiev.

Ukraine is “a country that bravely and successfully defends the eastern flank of Europe. (…) it is important not to lose sight of the significance of this”, Prince Harry said, according to the source.

During his two-day visit to the Ukrainian capital, he is expected to visit the demining charity HALO Trust, which was supported by his late mother Princess Diana. He will also spend time with the Ukrainian participants of his Invictus Games Foundation, which helps wounded veterans recover through sports, reports the British channel ITV.
