There is a paradox in almost every pitch: the first slide is projected on the screen more than any other, and yet it is the least thought out. Before the actual meeting even starts—while you're waiting for someone to connect, while you're running technical tests, while people are gathering—your cover is already there. Everyone sees it. No one does anything with her.
The cover is not decorative. That's your first argument.
Most founders treat the cover as a formality — logo, company name, maybe a background image. Something not empty. Mistake.
