Krasnoyarsk expert called marketplaces a “gray area” for cosmetics buyers

Marketplaces have become the main channel for purchasing skincare products, but have become a “gray area” with minimal quality control. This was stated by the founder of the Spa-Sugaring studio from Krasnoyarsk, Natalya Bagina, writes Sever-Press.

According to the expert, for consumers and aspiring beauty professionals, shopping online turns into “Russian roulette”, where skin health is at stake. The main problem is the lack of strict control over the supply chain. The certification system on marketplaces is often formal.

In addition, in warehouses of large sites the temperature regime is not always observed. Changes from +10 to +30 °C lead to the product formula “falling apart”. As a result, the client receives, at best, a useless cream, and at worst, a toxic product.

The expert advises paying attention to the smell and cost: a strong “chemical” aroma increases the risk of allergies, and a cream for 200-300 rubles a priori cannot contain safe components in the required concentration. Sometimes saving on home care results in months of treatment with a dermatologist.
