Negotiations with the EC regarding changes to SAFE are ongoing. “We are at the finals”

The representative for SAFE spoke
“Taking into account that the contract with the EC is still not signed, contracts cannot be signed between the Armament Agency and suppliers, e.g. Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa or WB Group. This means that concluding all planned contracts by the end of May is becoming unlikely, if only because they still have to be assessed along the way by the General Prosecutor's Office, which formally has two weeks to do so,” the newspaper reports.
— We are in the final stage of negotiations with the EC. The most important thing is that Poland uses all the funds well. We work with the Armament Agency 24 hours a day. per day – Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, government plenipotentiary for SAFE, told “Rzeczpospolita”.
The daily notes that until to push through the change in the regulation, Poland needs allies in the EU, and Romania seems to be one of them. “Of the 21 procurement projects planned by the Romanian Ministry of Defense, 10 are also based on the single principle, which means that, in accordance with the applicable regulation, they must be signed by the end of May,” we read in Tuesday's “Rzeczpospolita.”
