Achinka faced blackmail after buying an air fryer on the marketplace

A resident of Achinsk faced blackmail when trying to return a low-quality convection oven to a marketplace seller. This was reported by the regional Office of Rospotrebnadzor.
A woman bought an air fryer as a birthday present for her mother. She picked up the goods for 4,471 rubles from the pickup point in the evening, so she did not pay attention to the state of the packaging – the entire box was wrapped in tape. After hastily inspecting the air fryer inside and out, she found no defects. But already at home I noticed scratches on the screen of the equipment, peeling of the plastic and the absence of a warranty card. In addition, the volume turned out to be 3 liters instead of 6, and during operation water flowed out through the glass.
Attempts to return low-quality goods through the trading platform were unsuccessful: applications were rejected. The seller sent it to technical support in correspondence. There, after providing all the evidence, they demanded that the product be given 5 stars – only after that they promised to return the money.
“The woman tried to get a refund for a week, but they kept telling her, “Give it 5 stars.” Then, to resolve the situation, she decided to contact our specialists, who advised her and helped her file a claim,” the regional department said.
Only after receiving the claim from IP Yurkov D.A. returned the full cost of the goods to the consumer.
