CSM Iași 2020 is the first team from Division A to mathematically advance to the “Flower League”, with 4 stages left to play in the season. The Moldovans needed a point in the match on Sunday night, but they achieved a clear success, score 36-24 against CSU Știința Bucharest.
CSM Iași reached the 20th place in the ranking and are sure of their place on the first stage of Romanian handball. CSM Târgu Mureș, the team in second place, is also close to receiving its ticket for the “Liga Florilor”, being only a matter of time until Transylvania will also be promoted.

In the current competitive season no one relegates directly from the “League of Flowers”. The last two ranked teams, places 11 and 12, will go to a play-off for maintenance – promotion with the teams from the 3rd and 4th places respectively in Division A. The play-off will take place between May 29-31, 2026, on neutral ground.
At the play-off, the 4 teams will play in a tournament system, each against each other, with the top two remaining/promoting in the “Flower League”.
CSU Știința Bucureşti and CSM Roman are currently in the playoff spot, with 10 points, but the situation can change in the remaining matches, Sepsi or even Star Mioveni also having chances.
