In Krasnoyarsk, the number of people injured due to electric scooters has increased.

The press service of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Clinical Hospital reported that almost every day patients with injuries sustained due to electric scooters are admitted to the emergency department of the medical institution. Both the drivers themselves and the pedestrians they crash into are injured.

According to the head of the admissions department of the regional hospital, Andrei Gazenkampf, the situation has become systemic.

“The scooter is popular. Minimum physical effort, high speed, no license needed – and as a result – permanent injuries. There are not so many patients who are rollerbladers, skiers or cyclists. Scooters are breaking all records in terms of traffic,” said the doctor.

For example, the other day a young man came to the KKB emergency room. He injured his hands and suffered a fractured little finger. The reason was that he lost control of the electric scooter and fell. However, the injuries were minor.

Doctors remind: an electric scooter is not a toy, but a means of increased danger. Therefore, take care of yourself and those around you.
