CS Dinamo Bucharest won the Romanian Men's Handball Cup! The “Dulaii” surpassed their great rival in the number of trophies

CS Dinamo Bucharest won the Romanian Men's Handball Cup for the 10th time in history and for the 6th time in the last 7 years. At the Final 4 in Timișoara, the “Dulaii” beat SCM Politehnica Timișoara with 29-27 and won the trophy.
This weekend, the Constantin Jude Hall in Timișoara hosted the semifinals and finals of the Romanian Men's Handball Cup. The participating teams were CS Dinamo Bucharest, SCM Politehnica Timișoara, CS Minaur Baia Mare and CSA Steaua Bucharest.

On Saturday, April 18, the semifinals of the competition took place. First, the host of the tournament entered the field, winning without emotion in front of Stela Bucharest, score 33-22. Then, Dinamo Bucharest prevailed with a difference of 9 goals, 36-27, against Minaur Baia Mare.
Sunday, April 19, started with the small final of the Romanian Cup. The band from Maramureş played a good game against Stella and won 32-28, taking third place in the 2025-2026 edition of this competition.
The confrontation between SCM Politehnica Timișoara and CS Dinamo Bucharest followed. The hosts offered a solid response to the Romanian champions and the game was balanced for a long time, but in the end the visitors won 29-27.
The leaders of the winner were Inoue Langaro (6 goals), Branko Vujovic and Daniel Stanciuc with 5 goals each and Miklos Rosta with 4 goals.
On the other side, Christian Manojlovic (6 goals) and Marius Sadoveac (4 goals) stood out.

Dinamo Bucharest reached 10 trophies in the Romanian Cup and surpassed Steaua
Vujovic, with 14 goals, was the top scorer of the Final 4, the best goalkeeper was Dan Vasile (SCM Poli Timișoara), the best defender was named Pedro Valdes (Dinamo Bucharest), and Daniel Stanciuc (Dinamo Bucharest) won the title of most valuable player.
Thanks to this result, the band from the Capital won the Romanian Cup for the 3rd consecutive season, for the 6th time in the last 7 years and for the 10th time in history. The other 4 Romanian Cups were obtained in 1979, 1982, 1988 and 2017.
By winning this trophy, Dinamo surpassed Steaua, its great rival, in the number of Cups won. The military group has 9 trophies in this competition: 1981, 1985, 1990, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2007, 2008, 2009.
Final 4 of the Romanian Women's Handball Cup will take place on May 9-10, in Baia Mare. So far, Minaur Baia Mare and SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea have qualified, and the other two quarter-finals will be played on April 22: Gloria Bistrița – Corona Brașov and Rapid București – SCM Craiova.
