midfielder Lyes Houri (30 years old) announced his departure from University of Craiovathe team in 2nd place in the Superliga. The Frenchman published a message on social networks in which he said goodbye to the supporters and the club, after almost three years spent in Banie.
The separation comes in a delicate context for the player, after the blunder at the end of 2025, in the UEFA Conference League, an error that weighed decisively in the elimination of Olten from the competition.

Returning to Craiova in 2023, Houri decided to end his adventure in the blue-white shirt and sent an emotional message to the fans, along with several photos from his time in Banie:
After 3 years at the club, it's time to say goodbye. I thank the club, the fans and all the people in this city who welcomed me as if I were at home.
A part of me will always support the University of Craiova. I leave thinking that I gave my best and that I tried to do everything that depended on me. I wish all the best to my colleagues, because they are extraordinary people, but also to the club, for the future.
It's a good-bye said with a heavy heart, but when a story runs out of pages, it's better to move on. I will never forget these 3 years spent with you.

Houri still had a contract with Craiova University until the summer of this year. He first arrived in Banie in August 2021, left in 2022 for Hungary, and a year later he returned free of contract. In Romania, it has evolved only for Viitorul Constanța.
In the current season, the midfielder has ticked off 28 matches in all competitions, managing 4 assists, without scoring. In total, for Craiova University, he collected 98 games, 8 goals and 12 assists.
