Investigators detained the minor in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, the teenager could have acted under the influence and psychological pressure of unidentified persons with whom he contacted through one of the instant messengers, and met through an online game, the report says. In particular, he spoke about receiving threats regarding harm to his loved ones if the demands were not met.
Law enforcement officers determined that the pistol used was a noise pistol converted into a firearm.
The event was qualified under Part 1 of Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act).
