Dacia is preparing to launch a new electric model, Dacia Evader, considered the moral successor of the Dacia Spring model, one of the most successful electric cars of the car manufacturer from Mioveni. The new model is part of the manufacturer's plan to introduce four new electric models between 2026 and 2030.
Today, the British publication Autocar published images captured on the street of the future car, still heavily camouflaged, as is usually the case with models undergoing tests before the official launch.

Until the official presentation, there are no confirmed details about technical specifications or trim levels. The only known information is that the development of the model was carried out in less than a year and a half. Most likely, the new Dacia will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show, scheduled for October.
16,000of euros is the estimated price for the Dacia Evader, many months before its launch.
The new model is developed on the same technical basis as the Renault Twingoand the connection between the two machines is visible. Like its “brother” with a retro design, the Dacia Evader has a curved roof line and rounded rear windows, but also similar contours in the area of the wings.
However, there are also important differences. The Dacia model ditches the Twingo-specific rounded front light signature and adopts a thin panel, finished in glossy black, similar to the one on the Spring.
At the rear, the car does not adopt the diamond-shaped window frame present on the Twingo, and the taillights are positioned higher.
The Evader won't directly replace the Spring model, but it may do so later. Patrice Levy-Bencheton, product director at Dacia, explained that the two models can coexist, although both are electric cars in the A segment: “They are still quite different: you will discover this when we present the car, the dimensions, the shape and all the other aspects,” he said, quoted by the source mentioned above.
Spring Successor Peculiarities
“The new car would have an LFP battery with a net capacity of 27.5 kWh, higher than the new one from Spring of 24.3 kWh net. In Twingo, the WLTP autonomy is 262 km. Also, the battery of Spring's successor will charge faster, the Twingo's charging power being 50 kW compared to 40 kW in the new Spring”, noted automotorsisport.ro.
“Spring's successor will have a different, taller crossover body. Thus, we also expect the future Spring to be slightly more spacious than the current model and to be around 3.85 meters, being about 15 cm longer than the current model. Probably, the gauge will be similar to that of the Hyundai Inster. Also, the trunk will have more than 300 liters compared to 288 in the current model.
Taking over Twingo's platform, Spring's successor will have a multimedia system that will use Google services and, as with the Sandero, we expect two versions of the multimedia system: a basic one with the phone as a multimedia system and the second top with its own display and integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto”, according to the previously cited source.
