The water has been sweeping away houses, people and destroying roads for the second month now. The Ministry of Emergency Situations calculated the damage for July at 76.9 billion yuan (10.1 billion in dollars).
Forecasters say: this weekend you won’t be able to catch your breath either – showers will occur in Beijing, Inner Mongolia, the northeastern regions and the lands of the Sichuan basin. The Chinese Ministry of Emergency Situations calls on the affected regions to evacuate residents and temporarily stop work.
