Firefighters intervene on Tuesday evening to extinguish a fire that broke out at a social block located in the Henri Coandă neighborhood of Constanța. According to the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU) there is preliminary information according to which several people are trapped inside. Considering the magnitude of the event, the Red Intervention Plan was activated.
Eight people were injured as a result of the fire, said the president of CJ Constanța, Florin Mitoroi, who arrived on the scene, according to local media: “There are 8 victims. We took measures. I called the manager of the hospital, the medical director. Fortunately, they are not dead. It is about 42 residential spaces, people will have to be relocated. Some people, those who have relatives, will go to their relatives,” declared the president of CJ Constanța.

A 9-year-old minor, poisoned by smoke, was transported to the hospital by a SAJ crew, according to Ziua de Constanța.
A 65-year-old adult, with respiratory failure, and a 58-year-old, both intoxicated by smoke, were taken to the hospital by Smurd crews.
The fire was widespread in the building (height regime P+2), where search and rescue missions are being carried out, the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU) reported.
As a result of the activation of the Red Intervention Plan, all available medical resources in the county were directed to the scene of the intervention, to provide first aid and transport any victims.
In support of the intervention forces, two special fire trucks from ISU Ialomita are also acting.
The intervention is dynamic, and the information will be updated as the situation evolves.
