Cristi Chivu has put together a strong list of players from which the Inter management must choose in order to reshuffle their defensive line. The last name, which has become a summer objective of the Nerazzurri, is Gianluca Mancini, Roma's stopper, who will turn 30 on Friday.
The Serie A leader will more than likely part with three players over 30 years old in the defensive department. Francesco Acerbi (38), Matteo Darmian (36) and Stefan de Vrij (34) are at the end of their contracts and will leave for free in the summer.

And in this working hypothesis, Chivu is thinking about what he will put in place for his second season on the technical bench of the Nerazzurri. The newspaper La Repubblica claims that it is on the Romanian list Tarik Muharemovic, Mario Gila, Oumar Solet and more recently Gianluca Mancinito strengthen a team that needs to defend its title and remain competitive in Europe as well.
“Among the candidates, the most convincing at the moment is Muharemovic. The 23-year-old Bosnian defender from Sassuolo is seen as the best choice due to his potential, reliability and room for growth. It's not a coincidence that Inter would try to complete the transfer before the World Cup,” the quoted daily also writes.
Other solutions to consider are Mario Gila and Oumar Solet, for different reasons, but who now present significant financial hurdles.

Lazio's position on Gila is clear. President Claudio Lotito will not let him leave for less than 35 million euros, an amount considered excessive by Interespecially given that the 25-year-old Spaniard will be entering the final season of his contract. The same goes for the Frenchman Solet.
