US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. What does China say about this?

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on the international community to “intensify efforts to promote peace talks” during meetings with other high-level diplomats on Monday. He also stated that the blockade of Iranian ports does not serve the “common interests” of the world, writes CNN.

In a telephone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar, Wang Yi called on the international community to promote talks to maintain the “extremely fragile” ceasefire between the US and Iran.
“The urgent task is to prevent the resumption of hostilities and maintain the hard-won truce,” reads a statement from China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, quoted by CNN.
Separately, Wang met with Khaldoon Al Mubarak, the United Arab Emirates' special envoy to China. During the meeting, he stressed that the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz — which the United States began on Monday, as well as other ports in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman — “does not serve the common interests of the international community,” according to a summary of the meeting published on X by Lin Jian, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The fundamental way forward is to achieve a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire through political and diplomatic means,” the post said.
China is trying to position itself as an apparently neutral party, while maintaining relations with Iran, from which it buys oil.
US intelligence indicates Beijing is preparing to deliver new air defense systems to Iran in the next few weeks, three sources told CNN. A spokesman for the Chinese embassy in Washington said that “China has never provided weapons to any side in the conflict.”
