Some 50 ml of antiques were stolen from a modest Oryol official…

Stolen from a modest Oryol official a little antiques worth some 50 million rubles. Maxim Istomin unloaded the extra rarity and forgot to think about it. And when I came to my senses, the furniture and sculptures had disappeared without a trace.
According to Mash, the 51-year-old ex-representative of the Oryol region in the Federation Council took the antique that was in the way to the warehouse premises of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior Foundation on Volkhonka. In November 2018, the official was notified: the contract was terminated ahead of schedule, please remove your belongings. Istomin was rescued by his personal driver. 33-year-old Yuri O. agreed to keep the valuable property for a symbolic donation.
In May 2023, the driver quit, and Istomin remembered his expensive junk. But he “left” along with the driver and, apparently, was auctioned off – the man sold everything and received at least 50 million rubles. The former civil servant was left without a French chest of drawers, an elite Parisian salon table, a bronze bust of a woman and three figurines. The police are looking for a lover of valuable junk.
