A group of young extortionists was detained in Norilsk (video)

In Norilsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, police detained four local residents aged 21, 22, 23 and 27 yearssuspected of robbery.

The crime was committed in January of this year – a 34-year-old victim contacted the duty station and stated that a group of attackers had stolen 70 thousand rubles from him.

“According to the man, four guys stopped him and got into his car, demanding money from him. The victim knew the attackers. They said that he was allegedly distributing drugs in the city and decided to punish him. At the request of the suspects, the man transferred part of the amount to the bank card they indicated, and the rest through a cashless payment terminal in the store. Having received what they wanted, the young people disappeared, disposing of the funds received at their own discretion,” said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A criminal case was opened against the defendants under Part 2 of Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Robbery”, the sanction of which provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 7 years. During the preliminary investigation, two were given a preventive measure in the form of detention, the rest – in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.
