Attack with a machete on the subway in New York. The aggressor was killed by the police

The New York police on Saturday fatally shot a man who had stabbed at least three people in the Grand Central Station subway station, CNN and EFE inform, quoted by Agerpres.
According to a municipal official, the attacker was armed with a machete, ignored the policemen's orders to drop the weapon and rushed to attack them as well, therefore the policemen opened fire.
The attacker died from his injuries, and the three stabbing victims were transported to the hospital in serious condition.
The incident took place around 09:50 local time, on a platform of Grand Central Station, one of the largest and busiest subway stations in New York, located near Manhattan.
The police are investigating the incident. However, according to CNN, the authorities do not believe it was a terrorist attack.
