Inter's coach, Cristi Chivu, revealed to Sport Mediaset what the team's supporters wanted to hear for a long time.

Cristi Chivu: “Being Inter's coach means having big ambitions”
In an interview with Sport Mediaset Italia, the Inter coach bluntly said that his big goal is the “double” Lo Scudetto – Italian Cup: “Being the coach of Inter means having big ambitions. I'm happy because we go into the last two months of the season with a chance to achieve our goals. We have a duty to believe that we can win everything that is left.”
After leaving the Champions League, eliminated in the play-off by Bodo/Glimt (1-3 / 1-2), Inter focused on the championship, but also on winning the second most important trophy in Italy.
In Serie A, it is the leader and has a 7-point lead over the second-ranked Napoli, when there are 7 stages to play. And in the Italian Cup it is qualified in the semi-finals, where it finished tied in Como (0-0), in the first leg.
Cristi Chivu: “I think they are the ones who need some psychological work”
More incisive than ever, Chivu also put the detractors of his central defender, Allesandro Bastoni, to the test. The Italian international was harshly criticized after, in the play-off with Bosnia for the 2026 World Cup, he was sent off with a straight red and his team missed out on the final tournament (1-1, 1-4 on penalty kicks).
“Alessandro does not need psychological counseling“, believes Chivu: “People criticized him harshly, they rolled a rock on him. I think they are the ones who need some psychological work.”
