In tears, Răzvan Lucescu spoke at his father's funeral service, after in the previous two days he shook the hands of over 10,000 people who came to the National Arena to say goodbye to Mircea Lucescu.
“It was my father. He was a fighter. He fought, he won. He lost. He was happy. He was grieved. He has been through every possible situation that life can offer. It has helped a lot of people. He made mistakes.
His life was driven by passion, a great passion, football. He met a lot of people in this life, he owes a lot to many of them.
We want to thank all those who, at least for a moment, were part of his life. We want to thank all those who were present with him in these moments and who lead him on his last journey.
His life has been extraordinary, and as his son, I want him to be happy for all that he has achieved“, said Răzvan Lucescu, according to footage provided by Trinitas TV.
