CoreWeave signed a contract with Anthropic. The company's shares are up significantly

After the cooperation was announced, CoreWeave shares increased by over 5%. in pre-market trading, as Reuters writes.
This is another signal of how strongly investors respond to new contracts in the AI sector, where access to computing infrastructure has become a key resource.
AI needs power – and more and more of it. It's all about Claude
Under the agreement, CoreWeave will provide Anthropic with the computing power needed to develop and operate Claude family models.
The infrastructure will be implemented gradually, with the first resources expected to be available later this year. The companies did not disclose the value of the contract, but emphasize that it may be expanded in the future, writes Reuters.

Another element of the AI boom
As Reuters points out, the new agreement is part of a broader trend of gigantic investments in AI infrastructure. CoreWeave has signed a number of similar contracts in recent months, such as an agreement with OpenAI worth up to $11.9 billion, a contract with Nvidia for infrastructure supplies, and a fresh deal with Meta Platforms worth $21 billion.
This shows the scale of demand for data centers and computing power in the race for dominance in artificial intelligence.
Diversification of the Anthropic business
For CoreWeave, cooperation with Anthropic has another important dimension – reducing dependence on the largest customers.
So far, as much as approx. 67 percent The company's revenues came from one recipient – Microsoft. New contracts with companies such as Meta and Anthropic help spread risk and stabilize the business model.

AI as the new infrastructure of the world
The growing number of multi-billion contracts shows that the AI market is increasingly resembling the energy or telecommunications sector – not only software is becoming crucial, but above all access to “computing power”, writes Reuters.
Companies such as CoreWeave are clearly at the technological base of the entire artificial intelligence ecosystem.
