Ciucu wants to mortgage some houses seismically strengthened by the state. The city hall made ineligible expenses of over 850 million lei, and the mayor now wants to recover the money even from the owners

After finding that the General City Hall made ineligible expenses from the local budget of over 856 million lei in the National Program for the Consolidation of Buildings with High Seismic Risk (PNCCRS), financed mostly from the state budget, Mayor Ciucu now wants to recover these amounts even from the owners of the buildings included in the program, reveals the document analyzed by Profit.ro.

For this purpose, although it is not specified how the obligation could be imposed in the case of already concluded contracts, the owners should pay the amounts imposed by the municipality in stages, in 5 years, otherwise their property will be mortgaged in favor of the municipality, for a period of 15 years in which to pay the debt.
