The Agricultural Social Insurance Fund reported that the average monthly salary in the enterprise sector in the fourth quarter of 2025 was PLN 9,228.64. It is this indicator that influences the amount of contributions in the KRUS system.
On April 1, 2026, the health insurance contribution increased for those groups of farmers whose contribution amount does not depend on the farm area, but on the average salary in the economy.
The new monthly rate will be PLN 277, which is an increase of approximately PLN 20 compared to the current amount.

KRUS reminds that the rules for paying contributions vary depending on the size of the farm. In the case of farms up to 6 hectares, the contribution is covered by the state budget. Farmers with larger farms pay contributions for each hectare, and the amount of these fees increases with the farm area.
Changes in pension and other insurance contributions
The social insurance system in KRUS includes two main pillars: accident, sickness and maternity insurance and retirement and disability insurance. These contributions are paid quarterly.
According to information provided by KRUS, the contribution for accident, sickness and maternity insurance remains PLN 78 per month. In the case of limited insurance coverage, the fee is PLN 26 per month, i.e. one third of the full rate.

From April 1, 2026, the pension contribution will increase. The new rate is PLN 178 per month, while the previous one was PLN 169. This change is directly related to the amount of the basic pension, which has been set at PLN 1,780.64 since March.
Additional contributions for large farms
The increase in KRUS contributions in 2026 will particularly affect owners of larger farms, because they are subject to additional fees for pension and disability insurance, depending on the size of the farm. Farmers running farms over 50 ha will have to take into account the following monthly rates:
- up to 100 hectares – PLN 214 per month,
- from 100 to 150 hectares – PLN 427 per month,
- from 150 to 300 hectares – PLN 641 per month,
- over 300 hectares – PLN 855 per month.
