In Krasnoyarsk, a teenager stole his parents' ATV and overturned it

In Krasnoyarsk, traffic police are investigating the circumstances of a child’s injury when an ATV overturned, explained the press service of the Krasnoyarsk traffic police regiment.

The accident occurred a few days ago on a country road near house number 7 on Prostornaya Street in the Krazovsky microdistrict. The boy lost control, and the ATV overturned. During the fall, the teenager was hit in the chest area. The police noted that the presence of a motorcycle helmet saved him from other injuries.

The police found out that the boy took the keys to an ATV belonging to his parents without asking.

Administrative material on the transfer of transport control to a person which does not have a driver’s license (Part 3 of Article 12.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation), was drawn up in relation to the mother of a minor. She will have to pay a fine of 30 thousand rubles. In addition, the juvenile affairs inspectorate, which was given the information, will work with the family. Its staff will evaluate the actions of the parents and take appropriate measures.

Traffic police inspectors remind parents that children are prohibited from driving motor vehicles and the need to strictly control access to vehicles in order to avoid similar incidents in the future.
