British radiologists are required to ask men if they are pregnant
The UK's National Health Service has instructed X-ray machine operators to ask patients if they are pregnant. regardless of their gender aged from 12 to 55 years.
The innovation stems from an incident in which a transgender man who did not know he was pregnant underwent a CT scan. Doctors have been urged to take “special care” towards transgender, non-binary and intersex patients and not give in to prejudice.
