Unknown swindlers fraudulently took possession of the savings of a 76-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk.
It was established that in the period from March 6 to March 13, the woman was called by imaginary representatives of law enforcement agencies and, under the pretext of saving money from being transferred to illegal activities, they convinced her to give all her savings to the courier. Having prepared 5 million rubles, the pensioner followed the instructions of the attackers.
Only after some time did she realize that she had become a victim of a crime and turned to real law enforcement officers. Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud committed on an especially large scale.”
The woman herself at the police department explained the following: “I knew about the scammers, I was warned more than once, and then it was like an eclipse.”

“The police tried for a long time to calm down the victim, who, as it turned out, knew about various methods of fraud; a local police officer came to her more than once with preventive conversations. However, the criminals managed to convince her that the money needed to be protected, and she succumbed to persuasion. Currently, criminal investigation officers are making every effort to find the perpetrators,” said the Krasnoyarskoye Ministry of Internal Affairs.
