The incident occurred near the Volgograd Arena stadium. The murdered man was known in the city – he worked as a restorer of antique bicycles.
Eyewitnesses say that the driver of a huge camouflaged KamAZ truck with military license plates ran through a red light and did not even try to brake. Passersby began to calm the children who witnessed the murder of their father.
The reckless driver drove on and crashed into a UAZ, which was parked next to the bus stop. The UAZ driver suffered a bruise and a compression fracture of the spine.
A 39-year-old man was driving and he was detained. A criminal case has been opened.
