The acquittal of an official of the Krasnoyarsk mayor's office for land fraud has been overturned

The court will re-examine the criminal case of the former deputy head of the Department of Municipal Property and Land Relations of the Krasnoyarsk Administration on abuse of office in the sale of municipal lands.

It was established that in 2020 the head of Benefit LLC contacted DMIZOwanting to redistribute their land plot and expand it to 11.7 thousand square meters. m. The territory was intended for an auto repair center. According to the prosecutor's office, ex-deputy head of department knew about the disproportion of the territory and the buildings on it, but still made a redistribution and transferred the plot without holding a tender at a preferential price – for 15% of the cadastral value.

As a result of illegal alienation, the city budget lost more than 7.7 million rubles. The woman did not admit her guilt and stated that she had nothing to do with the case. On February 24, 2025, the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk acquitted her due to insufficient evidence of intent and materiality of damage, and on July 24, the regional court upheld this verdict.

“The regional prosecutor’s office submitted a cassation submission and on February 18, 2026, the Eighth Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction satisfied it – the acquittal was overturned. On April 6, 2026, the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk, with a new composition of judges, began to reconsider the case. Only the position of the prosecutor’s office remains unchanged: the official exceeded her authority and caused multimillion-dollar damage to the budget. Justice must prevail,” the supervisory authority said.
