On the night of Monday to Tuesday, the Russian forces launched drone attacks on the infrastructure in Ukraine, near the border with Romania, and the population in the north of Tulcia county received an RO-Alert message, MApN announced on Tuesday. According to MApN, two aerial targets were detected near the border, but they did not enter the national airspace.
“In the early hours of Tuesday, April 7, the forces of the Russian Federation carried out a new series of drone attacks on civilian and infrastructure targets in Ukraine, in the vicinity of the border, in the northern area of Tulcea county,” announced the MApN.
The National Military Command Center (core) notified the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations in order to establish alerting measures for the population in the north of Tulcea county, and at 00:58 a RO-ALERT message was issued.
“The anti-aircraft defense systems monitored two air targets that moved in the border area, without entering the national airspace. The air alert ended at 1:46 a.m.,” according to MApN.
The army states that the forces of the Ministry of National Defense remain vigilant, maintaining the “surveillance and coordination measures necessary to protect the population and the national territory”.
