At a Krasnoyarsk sports school, children trained without equipment

7 April 16:40

In Krasnoyarsk, after an inspection by the prosecutor’s office, a sports school purchased the necessary equipment for children’s training.

According to information from the regional supervisory agency, the lack of equipment at the Energia sports school became known last year. In particular, for rhythmic gymnastics there was not enough acrobatic track, there was also no rope and gymnastic rings. And swimmers did without training fins, balls and special belts for hydraulic resistance.

“Federal standards for sports training require 100% equipment. But the school turned a blind eye to this for years. The prosecutor's office studied the standards of the Ministry of Sports and inspected the halls and swimming pools. The conclusion turned out to be simple: the rights of minor athletes to full training were violated. The school director was presented with a request to eliminate the violations,” the supervisory agency noted.

After an inspection by the prosecutor's office, the management of the sports school made 9 purchases of sports equipment and equipment for a total amount of more than 3.3 million rubles. As a result, equipment standards have been fully met.
