A magnitude 7 earthquake hit Kamchatka. Local residents write that they tried to quickly leave the house or hide in a safe place. Initially, there were no casualties.
The epicenter of the tremors was recorded 108 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Immediately after the earthquake, a series of aftershocks with a magnitude of about 4 came.
After a strong earthquake in Kamchatka, a powerful eruption of the Shiveluch volcano began. A column of ash from the Karan dome rises 8 kilometers into the sky.
