The police named the number of drunk drivers caught in the Krasnoyarsk Territory over the past weekend.
Over two days off in the region, traffic police inspectors detained 130 drunk drivers. Among the detained violators were 6 motorists who had previously been brought to administrative responsibility for drunk driving, and 22 motorists without a driver’s license.
Administrative materials were drawn up against the offenders for driving while intoxicated. Those who enjoy driving while drunk face a fine of 45 thousand rubles, as well as deprivation of the right to drive for a period of 1.5 to 2 years.
Drivers who repeatedly drive while intoxicated will face criminal liability.
“Dear drivers! Alcohol and driving don't mix. Even one drink can make you a murderer. Don't wait for the traffic police to stop you – stop yourself. Take a taxi, call a sober friend, stay overnight,” the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs advised Krasnoyarsk residents.
Let us remind you that earlier in Krasnoyarsk, traffic police regiment officers detained a 51-year-old woman who, while intoxicated, fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a traffic light.
