The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, arrived in Washington for his meeting with his American counterpart Donald Trump. The leader of Kiev told the arrival in the US capital that he hopes that the “common force” of Ukraine, the United States and European partners will force Russia to accept peace, reports Reuters.
“I am grateful to the President of the United States for the invitation. We all want to put an end to this war quickly and permanently,” Zelenski told social media, after his arrival in Washington on Sunday evening.
“And I hope our common force with America and our European friends will force Russia to accept real peace.”
The bilateral meeting between the US President Donald Trump, and the Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenski, will take place on Monday at 8:15 pm, at Romania, at the White House, the White House announced in a press release.
Trump will participate in a multilateral meeting with European leaders visiting Washington at 22:00, Romania time.
