A preventive measure was chosen for the deputy chief of police of the city of Krasnoyarsk, Sergei Tetyukhin. This was reported to the regional Investigative Committee.
The Central District Court sent a policeman suspected of taking bribes and fraud to a pre-trial detention center for two months. Sergei Tetyukhin will remain in the pre-trial detention center until May 31, 2026.
Let us remind you that the deputy chief of police of Krasnoyarsk was detained on April 1, a criminal case was opened against him under paragraph “c” of Part 5 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Searches were carried out at Sergei Tetyukhin's home and work place, and the policeman was suspended from duty.
Investigators believe that between 2021 and May 2022, Sergei Tetyukhin promised to help a defendant in a criminal case avoid responsibility and received a reward of more than 3.5 million rubles for this.
Also, from 2020 to 2023, according to law enforcement agencies, he received property worth over 190 thousand rubles from one of the city residents as a bribe. In return, the police officer helped foreigners obtain residence permits and facilitated taking the oath of citizenship, even if they did not speak Russian well.

The investigation, taking into account Sergei Tetyukhin’s official position, his wide range of connections, his skills in operational investigative activities and the possibility of putting pressure on witnesses, insisted that he be taken into custody.
