Rosseti Siberia provided power supply to the new visitor center on Nikolaevskaya Sopka

Specialists of the branch of Rosseti Siberia – Krasnoyarskenergo completed the construction of network infrastructure to connect a new visitor center on Nikolaevskaya Sopka

Now at one of the iconic places of the city, at an altitude of 505 meters, there is an observation deck with a pedestrian bridge “floating” above the slope.

To connect the future multifunctional visitor center and adjacent infrastructure to the networks, Krasnoyarsk power engineers installed a complete transformer substation with a voltage of 6 kilovolts (kV), built about 260 meters of cable and overhead power lines with a voltage of 0.4 kV and 6 kV, and installed an electricity meter. The total connected capacity of the facility is 149 kilowatts.

“Construction and installation work at this site was complicated by the fact that it was carried out on a steep and rocky slope of the Nikolaevskaya Hill. It should be added that our specialists developed the cable line trench, and also installed the power line support and substation during low temperatures,” said Pyotr Minkov, head of the department for the implementation of technological connection agreements of the capital construction department of the Krasnoyarskenergo branch.

The customer of the new visitor center at the highest point of Krasnoyarsk is the Tourist Information Center of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

“In the two-story building, in addition to the visitor center, a reception area with an administrator, there will be a cafeteria, a cloakroom and a toilet. A special feature of the project will be the possibility of access to the roof with an area of 370 square meters, where recreation areas with picturesque views of the city and nature will be equipped. All this is being done to make visiting one of the popular tourist places more comfortable and memorable for residents and guests of our city,” noted the Tourist Information Center.

The construction of a multifunctional visitor center on Nikolaevskaya Sopka is planned to be completed by the end of 2026.
