Prices for chocolate and baked goods will increase by 40% in the fall
International food manufacturers will massively revise purchase prices for retailers, media reports. Companies expect to increase the cost of their assortment by 5–40%; the price of confectionery products will increase most noticeably.
One of the largest adjustments to the price list was announced by the Mars company; the price of sweets will increase by almost 20%.
The main culprit behind the rise in prices for chocolate products is a sharp jump in the cost of cocoa beans on world markets.
