Ferrari of almost 850,000 dollars, lifted by the Local Police in Sector 1, for illegal parking

A Ferrari SF90 Stradale, valued at over 845,000 dollars, parked illegally on Ion Mihalache Boulevard, near Piața Victoriei, was picked up by the Local Police Sector 1. Even if the value of the car approaches the price of a penthouse in Bucharest, traffic rules and illegal parking are the same for everyone.

According to the representatives of the Local Police, the fine for parking is 1,012 lei, and the owner will also pay 425 lei for picking up and transporting the vehicle. The car was taken to the garage in Parcului street no. 65.

“It doesn't matter the brand or the price of the car, the parking space is what makes the difference. The Local Police applies the law equally to all drivers“, stated the institution's officials.

Internet users' reactions: from skepticism to irony

The decision of the Local Police sparked numerous comments online. Some users point out that not only luxury cars should be penalized: “It didn't work out if you did your job with normal cars, parked there every day”; “The tram has stopped running there for more than 3 years and that part of the road had become a parking lot.”; “I hope it's not a joke… since April 1st…”

Others noted that the removal of the Ferrari comes in a context where dozens of other cars park illegally in the area every day.
