Dinamo, worse than Andrei Nicolescu anticipated! Finance 2025: Spending has exploded

Dinamo produced 7.72 million euros in 2025, an increase of 52.7% compared to the result of 2024, but the red and white club ended the financial year with a loss of 4.94 million euros.
It was the turn of those from Dinamo to publish their financial balance for 2025. The “Red Dogs” ended 2024 in the red with 3.98 million euros and managed to increase their income considerably in the next year, with 2.66 million euros (52.7%).
Their problem is that the expenses have also “exploded”, explainable considering the sporting ambitions of the current competitive season, for Dinamo to return to the European cups after a 9-year break.
Dinamo, revenues of 7.72 million euros in 2025
In terms of income, the largest piece, 2.23 million euros, was provided by sponsorship and advertising contracts. 2.03 million came from television rights, and 1.75 million from match tickets, approximately 40,000 euros less than in 2024.
About 460,000 euros came from UEFA, in the form of solidarity payments, and the commercial activity (merchandising component) produced about 772,000 euros. The rest, 465,000 euros, is marked under “other operating income”.
The profit and loss account prepared by Dinamo
But despite the 52.7% increase from 2024, revenue pales in comparison to spending.
Dinamo spent 13.28 million euros in 2025, of which 7.64 million, i.e. 55.5% of the total, on employee salaries and benefits.
16.8 million eurosis the amount of revenues of the University of Craiova in 2025. FCSB is the best, especially thanks to the Europa League: €27.7 million
Separately, in the profit and loss account, expenses and income related to player transfers are also specified. In 2025, Dinamo paid 495,000 euros for transfers and received 1.11 million, money brought by the transfers of Dennis Politic to FCSB and Patrick Olsen to AC Horsens.
The conclusion of the financial picture? As in 2024, Dinamo lost again, this time with 4.94 million euros.
Andrei Nicolescu anticipated a deficit of “around 4 million”
At the beginning of the year, Dinamo's president, Andrei Nicolescu, admitted that the operating deficit in 2025 was higher than what he and the rest of the shareholders had forecast.
His explanation? “We had the exit from insolvency, transfers, investments”, plus the under-expected assists at matches and, implicitly, the money from ticket sales.
Nicolescu predicted that the deficit would be “around 4 million, if not better”. Finally it was almost 5.
For 2026, the biggest challenge will be to reach our 2025 cap, which I consider very high, and at the same time be able to, financially, break even, because we are in a balance sheet and in a fairly large deficit compared to what we had forecast at the beginning of the year.
It's a year assumed by shareholders, somehow, but the deficit is larger than forecast. Because it was the exit from insolvency, transfers, investments.
