Children used by drug traffickers from Timișoara to sell their goods. Some consumers bartered stolen goods
A network of traffickers operating in the area of the North Station in Timișoara was destroyed following 19 searches. Investigators found that traffickers were using minors to distribute high-risk drugs and psychoactive substances.

In a first criminal case, the law enforcement officers implemented 5 home search warrants, in the municipality of Timișoara, on persons suspected of committing the crimes of carrying out, without the right, operations with products likely to have psychoactive effects and high-risk drug trafficking.
“From the criminal investigation documents, it emerged that, starting in 2024, 6 people (three women and three men), would have procured, possessed and sold psychoactive products, but also high-risk drugs, in the form of a vegetable substance impregnated with MDMB – INACA, MDMB – BUTINACA, 5 FLUORO – ADB and MDMB 4en – PINACA. The prohibited substances would have been sold predominantly, in the area of the Railway Station Nord, from the municipality of Timișoara, and, in order to minimize the risk of being caught, one of the persons (adult) would have used two minors, aged 15 and 13, for distribution“, according to DIICOT.

During the investigations, approximately 60 doses of psychoactive product sold by the persons in question with amounts between 150 and 500 lei per transaction were seized.
In the second criminal case, the policemen of the Timișoara Regional Transport Police Department, under the coordination of a prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Timișoara District Court, implemented 14 home search warrants. Investigations were carried out regarding some of the people investigated in the first criminal case, suspected of committing the crimes of theft, concealment and instigation to concealment, as there are indications that some of the consumers may have purchased the drugs in exchange for stolen goods.
“During the investigations, the policemen of the Timiș County Police Inspectorate, the Timișoara Regional Transport Police Department and the gendarmes of the Timiș County Gendarmerie Inspectorate and the Timișoara Mobile Gendarmerie Group carried out 154 detections regarding drug trafficking and operations with psychoactive substances. The action benefited from the support of the policemen from the Timiș County Police Inspectorate and gendarmes from the Timișoara Mobile Gendarmerie Group and the Timiș County Gendarmerie Inspectorate“, the police announce.
