Russian attack in Kramatorsk. Impacts on residential buildings

“At least three people were killed and seven injured as a result of the attack on Kramatorsk. Among the dead was a 13-year-old boy. The injured were people aged 20 to 85,” Vadym Filashkin, head of the military authorities of the Donetsk region, said in the Telegram messenger.

He added that on Sunday early afternoon, Russian forces dropped an air bomb on the city; many multi-story buildings were damaged. “All services are on site. We are determining the final number of victims and the scale of destruction,” Filashkin said.
Kramatorsk, together with Slavyansk, Druzhkivka and Konstantinivka, forms a belt of Ukrainian strongholds in the northern part of the Donetsk Oblast. Control over these cities allows the authorities in Kiev to maintain logistics, command and supply base for the troops fighting in the east. Their loss could open the way for Russia to conduct further operations deep into Ukraine.
