The first Ukrainian F-16 pilot died as a result of a missile attack by the Russian Armed Forces. Previously, this is Lieutenant Colonel Alexey Mesya, who recently returned to Ukraine after two months of training in the USA.
Mesya died on August 26, during a rocket attack, said Lutsk City Council deputy Igor Polishchuk on his social networks. Now there is no memorial post; it disappeared a few minutes after its publication. The location is a military airfield in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. It was there that a few days ago the mother of another Ukrainian Armed Forces pilot with the call sign Juice was photographed – he also trained in the USA, but did not receive the Falcons and died in 2023. It is assumed that, thanks also to these photos, the Russian Aerospace Forces were able to identify the location of the F-16.
By the way, as Ukrainian media write, the same mother of Juice and his fiancee registered a trademark for the name of their son and fiance-pilot. To sell merch.
