Raised in Aschaffenburg, Lennart Karl also went through Eintracht Frankfurt's academy, and from 2022 he joined the Bavarians' academy.

After impressing for Bayern's U19s last season, Vincent Kompany decided to start Karl at last summer's Club World Championship when the young midfielder played a half in the 10-0 win over Auckland City.
Then, Karl also made his debut in the Bundesliga, in the very first stage of this season, when he caught 22 minutes in the 6-0 victory over Leipzig.
In total, Karl has made 23 appearances this season in the Bundesliga, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists.
However, the young player's numbers are much more impressive in the Champions League, where he has scored 4 goals and provided two assists in his 7 appearances.
Lennart Karl's excellent form earned him a call-up to Germany's first team, with the Bayern youngster playing 28 minutes in Friday night's 4-3 friendly win over Switzerland.
