Victoriano Melero, PSG's general manager, admitted in a recent interview that there have been calls for the club to get involved in cycling. The CEO of the Parisian club said that at the moment there is no question of them entering competitions of this kind.
Guest on a podcast hosted by French entrepreneur Alexandre Mars, Victoriano Melero discussed his role as CEO of the Parisian club.
Asked if he had been approached about getting involved in other sports, Melero said there had been some dabbling with cycling, but it wasn't really a serious discussion. PSG has strong handball, women's soccer, judo and esports sections.

“For the moment, I didn't follow through on the request. I thought the exposure would be considerable, it's just incredible through the Tour de France, but no, I didn't go any further,” according to L'Equipe.
PSG colors could soon be seen in basketball, where there is talk of a Parisian franchise in NBA Europe. This project is seen as a meaningful one, according to the PSG general manager.
The PSG football section dominates the domestic championship in France. They have 60 points from 26 matches and the chasing Lens are one point behind, but with one more game played. PSG is also the title winner of the Champions League, and this season they are in the quarter-finals of the competition and have a good chance to defend their trophy. In women's football, the championship is authoritatively dominated by Lyon, but PSG is in the top 4. In front of the team from Paris are local rivals Paris FC and Nantes.
PSG also dominates the “Hexagon” in handball, but here Nantes puts pressure on the Parisians. In the Champions League the men's handball team finished 4th in Group B, but they are a force at European level.
