The competition to identify contractors for the overhaul of two sections of the Kansk-Aban-Boguchany highway has ended. The work will take place within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life,” said the Department of Highways in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Last season, road workers overhauled the first section of the highway from kilometers 236 to 244 near the village of Novokhaisky. This year, the contractor will convert the crushed stone surface into asphalt concrete in the section from 244 to 256 kilometers. Specialists will eliminate abysses, restore layers of road pavement, clear ditches and repair culverts. In addition, they will install metal barrier fencing and road signs, and also arrange bus stops near the village of Novokhaisky. The facility is designed for two years; this season, 11.6 kilometers will have to be repaired. The site will be fully commissioned in 2027.
The head of KRUDor, Andrey Zhuravlev, said that similar work will begin this season on the section from 133 to 141 kilometers in the Abansky district – from the asphalt concrete exit after the village of Dolgiy Most to the village of Voznesenka. The contractor will eliminate heaps, strengthen the subgrade, lay several layers of asphalt concrete, arrange drainage, install barrier fencing, install road signs and apply markings.
“The facility is also designed for two years, 3.3 km will be commissioned this season. Contracts for both facilities will be signed by the end of March,” explained the head of the Department.
In addition, project documentation is currently being developed for the overhaul of the following sections: from 143 to 160 kilometers (from the village of Voznesenka to the bridge over the Biryusa River), from 160 to 174 kilometers (from the bridge over the Biryusa River), from 174 to 188 kilometers (in the area of the border of the Abansky and Boguchansky districts), from 188 to 201 kilometers, from 201 to 213 kilometers (before bridge over the Chuna River), from 214 to 215 kilometers (after the bridge over the Chuna River) and from 271 to 276 kilometers (near the turn to BoAZ).
It is planned to completely convert the route to asphalt concrete by 2031.
